The Miami Township Parks Department provides our residents with safe, well-maintained spaces for outdoor recreation. The department dates back to the 1970s and is responsible for maintaining approximately 140 acres of land. Townships across the state of Ohio are under constant pressure to identify alternative funding opportunities.

Parks and Trails Plan

To achieve our goals, the Parks and Trails Plan was adopted in 2024. It sets the stage for renovation and innovation within our parks system. The document is the result of community engagement and best-practice research designed to enhance park visitors' experiences. Funds from the American Rescue Plan Act help make these projects possible.

May/June 2025 - Little Libraries were added to three parks: Miami View, Waldruhe and Reeder, while playground installation is now underway at Miami View.

September 27, 2024: The Layer Park shelter was newly painted, a new roof and doors installed. Ball diamond infield improvements using a new ABI Rascal Pro. Updating basketball court with court lines. COMING SOON: new swingset.
